Before Bold Ivy could even manufacturer a single part, it took hundreds of hours of thought before finalizing on the perfect design. Then molds needed to be manufactured, prototypes created, prototypes tested, revisions made. A lot of work for a canoe stabilizer, but we think you’ll find it worth it.
floats
From the hydrodynamic curves to the ultra smooth and durable exterior, every surface on a Bold Ivy float has been touched and designed specifically to make the single best canoe stabilizer float. 3D renderings were created for every part, samples were scrutinized in every detail, all to ensure that no one cut any corners for any cost.
hardware
Would you believe that even some of our hardware is custom made? It is! Each canoe stabilizer package consists of 41 pieces spanned across 17 parts. And a kayak stabilizer package consist of 77 pieces spanned across 27 parts. Knowing that we would stop at nothing to manufacturer the best stabilizer, we had no choice but to manufacturer custom hardware.
extension arms
Aluminum tubing does not just slide into other tubes. So we had to design a custom aluminum square tube that would precisely slide in and out of the bridge. Too much space, it wiggles. Not enough space, and it jams. Each arm can extend up to 20″, and when coupled with a 45″ bridge, that gives 85″ of stability.
philosophy
Our philosophy from the beginning was to care about our customers. Without them, we can’t do what we love to do – and that’s to run a business that values hard work, compassion, and humanity. And finally, we care about our employees. Despite how hard our employees work, we still realize that there’s much more to life than a 9-5 job. We want them to enjoy life as much as they do their work.
